Former Generations Actress Sophie Ndaba Hospitalized Again

Former Generations actress Sophie Ndaba has been hospitalized again after suffering another health scare. According to reports, she suffered an unfortunate accident at her home in the West Rand, where she broke her ankle after missing a step while trying on a dress.

Now, she’s back in the doctor’s office for a procedure to remove the metal screws in her foot and to monitor her recovery progress.

The Journey to Recovery

After her injury, Sophie faced a difficult recovery period. Initially confined to a wheelchair, she gradually transitioned to using crutches to support her healing ankle.

Speaking to Zimoja, she expressed her hope for a full recovery, saying,

“I’ve come a long way—from being unable to walk and relying on crutches to now preparing to have the screws removed. I am just grateful to wake up each day and witness my progress.”

Now six months post-injury, Sophie remains optimistic about her recovery. Her determination is fueled by her upcoming role as a keynote speaker at the Women’s Empowerment and Sustainable Development Summit, set to take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Johannesburg this March.

“I need to be mobile and full of positive energy to inspire others with my story,” she said.

Sophie Ndaba’s previous illness

The actress has been in the headlines due to not feeling well before. A few years ago, she drastically lost weight due to sugar diabetes, and a lot of people speculated what she was suffering from. Some even wrote that the actress had died at some point.

However, Sophie received treatment and bounced back and gained some of the previous weight. Currently, she has been getting her career back on track after recovering.
