Linda Masarira’s Husband Arrested Following Her Hospitalisation: Shocking Details Emerge

In a positive turn of events, politician Linda Masarira has been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home.

The reason for her hospitalisation, which had been kept under wraps, has now been revealed, amid revelations that her husband has been arrested.

Linda Masarira’s Husband Arrested As Cause of Hospitalisation is Finally Revealed

Earlier, iHarare reported that Linda Masarira, the president of Labour, Economists, and African Democrats (LEAD), had been hospitalised yet the reason had not been disclosed. However, it has now emerged that Linda Masarira was hospitalised after allegedly being assaulted by her husband, Bongani Mlotshwa.

Unverified reports suggest that Masarira suffered injuries, including the loss of her left eye, due to the assault by her husband. On X (formerly Twitter), a user by the name of @DrDelinquent_ made claims that Linda Masarira was physically assaulted by her husband after she caught him in a compromising position with her 22-year-old daughter, Kupa.

“I just received the information that our sister @lilomatic is recovering from home after almost losing her eye due #GBV in the hands of husband, #BonganiMlotshwa. This came after Linda found Bongani having sex with her 22 year old daughter, Kupa. We condemn GBV,” @DrDelinquent_ posted on X.

Court Appearance: Linda Confirms Allegations

Following the alleged incident, Linda Masarira’s husband was promptly taken into custody by Hatfield police.

Linda Masarira seemingly confirmed the series of events, mentioning that she was assaulted after questioning what was happening.

“Woroverwa kuvhunza kuti chii chirikuitika pano wabata vanhu. Ndangoti Mwari itai kuda kwenyu ndega handigone” Linda Masarira shared without getting into detaails.

According to an update by ZimDaily, Linda Masarira and her husband are expected to make a court appearance on Monday for a Gender-based Violence (GBV) matter.
