Taking to x, formerly Twitter, one of Winky D’s avid fans @_Makdshelby tagged Nick Mangwana and appealed to him to have statue of Winky D erected next to Mbuya Nehanda’s statue

Responding to @_Makdshelby request, Nick Mangwana argued that putting a statue of Winky D next to Mbuya Nehanda will be quite insulting to her memory and legacy. He blatantly stated that Winky D sings in fake patois.

“Mbuya Nehanda was an iconic spirit medium who refused to be baptized because this was against who she was. Putting the statue of someone who sings in fake patois is insulting her memory and legacy. Nothing about her was pretentious that’s why she refused to be baptized.”
