Tshwane Emergency Management Services (EMS) have recovered two bodies from a building in the Pretoria CBD.
The bodies were found on Tuesday, while paramedics were attending to a call for an injured victim.
It’s understood that a man fell into the basement of a building through an elevator shaft.
Tshwane EMS said the two decomposed bodies were subsequently found floating on water in the lift shaft.
“Emergency services, however, remained on the scene to assist with the recovery the two bodies under the command of the SAPS [South African Police Service],” said spokesperson Charles Mabaso.
“The cause of the death of the two victims and the injured is under police investigation.”
