10-Year-Old Goromonzi Girl Hisses and Writhes Like a Snake After Being Initiated Into Satanism
Life has taken a shocking turn for a 10-year-old Grade 7 girl from Goromonzi after she was allegedly initiated into satanism by her schoolmates, leaving her unable to attend school and deeply distressed.

Possessed by a Snake Spirit, Says Heartbroken Mother
The girl’s devastated mother shared the heartbreaking details with B-Metro, revealing that her daughter, who lives on a farm in Chief Chinhamora’s area, has been acting like a snake since the alleged initiation. She described the terrifying changes, saying her daughter hisses, writhes, and darts her tongue like a snake, and even cries like a hyena.
“This girl is possessed by a snake spirit. She starts to hiss like a snake, writhing around and sticking out her tongue like a snake. She also cries like a hyena when she is possessed,” she says.
How 10-Year-Old Goromonzi Girl Was Initiated Into Satanism
Recalling the unsettling events, the girl said the ordeal began at school when an unknown woman approached her, placing her hands on her head as if praying. A group of children joined the woman, touching the girl’s head. Soon after, she began having bizarre visions of snakes being thrown at her and placed in her stomach.
“I was at school when a stranger, an adult woman, came and touched my head with both hands. Many other children joined her, also touching my head. After that, I started seeing strange things, including snakes being thrown at me, some being placed in my stomach, and being taken out at night to practice witchcraft with others,” she recounted.
According to the young girl, she has been taken to secret rituals at night with other children, where they are made to eat “sadza, rice, and meat” and drink a “red beverage.” She claims they are transported by a large snake capable of carrying up to 20 people and have travelled to far-off places like Mozambique under the spell of this spirit.
Even more disturbingly, she says her mother doesn’t notice her absence at night because her shadow remains in the house while she is away.

A Mother’s Desperate Plea for Help
The girl’s mother, heartbroken and exhausted, has been searching for help, but the ordeal has torn her family apart. She lamented how her once top-performing daughter has fallen behind in school and now names people in the community as her fellow witches. The stress has even cost her husband his job.
“This problem started when my daughter was at school, where she was a top student. Since she started being possessed by this spirit, we have sought help from various people, who have taken her mind to make it like their children’s so that she can attend school. She names people we live with, saying they are the ones she goes out with to practice witchcraft, and she is no longer able to perform as well as she used to at school,” she appealed.
