Two men have been killed and a woman wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting in Kewtown, Athlone.
The shooting happened on Thursday night.
The police’s Frederick Van Wyk said the suspects fled the scene and were yet to be arrested.
“According to reports, three unidentified males fired multiple shots in the direction of the deceased. They both ran up the stairs and went into their premises followed by the suspects.
“In the house, the suspects fired multiple shots and, in the process, fatally wounding them and injured another female bystander. The motive is believed to be gang-related.”
