The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) reminds social grant beneficiaries of the payment dates for its various grants for October 2024.
Older persons – 2 October 2024
Disability – 3 October 2024
Child – 4 October 2024
Beneficiaries are encouraged not to rush to withdraw their funds on the first day.
“Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed,” says the agency.
SASSA payments can be withdrawn from supermarkets such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, USave merchants, Checkers, and Shoprite.

A club owner demands his cash back from popular socialite and dancer Zodwa Wabantu. Stenga Shabangu, owner of Stengas Place in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, claimed that Zodwa took a booking fee but pulled a no-show.
