Scottland FC’s New Ambulance

In a groundbreaking move, ambitious Northern Region Division One team Scottland FC has become the first football club in Zimbabwe to acquire an ambulance. The state-of-the-art vehicle, imported from South Africa, is part of the club’s efforts to prioritize player welfare and align with international standards. According to club owner Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya, this investment demonstrates Scottland FC’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for its players.

The ambulance is just one aspect of Scottland FC’s impressive fleet. The club already boasts two luxury buses and several smaller vehicles, with an ultra-luxury team bus en route from Brazil. Sakupwanya emphasized that this investment is not only about player welfare but also part of the club’s commercialization strategy, mirroring approaches used by successful clubs in South Africa and Europe.

Beyond the club’s interests, the ambulance will also serve the broader community in Mabvuku. As the area’s Member of Parliament, Sakupwanya is dedicated to giving back to society. The ambulance will be accessible to anyone in need, particularly when not in use by the football club. This gesture underscores Scottland FC’s commitment to social responsibility and community development.

On the pitch, Scottland FC continues its push for promotion to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. Currently sitting at 66 points, the team trails leaders MWOS by seven points. With a game in hand, Scottland FC can close the gap to just two points with a victory, setting up an exciting finale to the season.
