The case against three people accused of breaking into President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala game farm has again been postponed.
On Monday, the trio appeared at the Modimolle Regional Court in Limpopo on several charges including money laundering and housebreaking.
Imanuwela David as well as siblings, Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph, are accused of being behind the theft of close to R10 million in cash from Ramaphosa’s farm in 2020.
The money, stuffed under sofa cushions is believed to come from proceed for buffalo that a Sudanese businessman bought.
“The Phalaphala Game Farm court case has been postponed to 26 November 2024 for a pre-trial conference at the Modimolle Regional Court,” said the regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi.
