Eight-Month-Old Baby Girl Dies After Pulling Bucket Of Hot Water Over Herself In Epworth

An eight-month-old baby girl has died after suffering severe burns when she pulled a bucket of hot water over herself at a house in Epworth, Harare.

The incident occurred on October 21, 2026, and the infant died three days later, on October 24, while receiving treatment at Sally Mugabe Hospital.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the tragic incident, which has prompted reactions on social media.

Baby Succumbs To Burns At Sally Mugabe Hospital

According to the police, the baby crawled towards a bucket filled with hot water before pulling it over herself.

She sustained serious burns in the incident and was rushed to Sally Mugabe Hospital for treatment.

Despite being admitted to the hospital, the eight-month-old girl died on Saturday, October 24.
