Gogo Skhotheni forgives Gogo Maweni if she killed her son! Well-known South African disc jockey, businesswoman, and reality TV star Gogo Skhotheni, whose real name is Tumi Motsoeneng, has issued an apology to celebrity sangoma Gogo Maweni.
The two famous traditional healers have been feuding for some time now. Their feud started when Skhotheni accused the sangoma who recently got married, of copying her ideas.
Their beef escalated further when Maweni made remarks regarding Skhotheni’s late child, Monde Junior Shange, who was sick at the time.
In a recent episode of her podcast, The Venting Podcast, the traditional healer, who recently underwent a BBL, spoke about their ongoing feud. She apologized for insulting Maweni and making negative comments about her looks.
Initially, she didn’t disclose the identity of the person she was referring to, but her interviewer, Phiwe, asked if she felt comfortable naming them.
“What I didn’t like about myself was when I kept on inflicting the pain of her looks. That’s a downgrade for me. She didn’t choose to be like that, and that’s what I am apologizing for. I shouldn’t have done that,” she said.
“My family hated what she said and they wanted to intervene,” she continued.
The DJ mentioned that they were never friends with Maweni because as true friends, they would have worked through their problems. She mentioned that she had forgiven Maweni, regardless of her comments about her.
“What I am saying about Maweni is that I shouldn’t have reacted to anything that she said. What she said about me was her own opinion. I forgive her even if she feels I don’t deserve her to say sorry to me. I forgive her for the fact that she said she didn’t like me and that I am a baboon. I don’t have any bad feelings about her. I wish her nothing but the best in life. She has kids, she’s a mother and wife who needs to be there for her family, said Skhotheni.
Skhotheni, who recently lost her son Monde Shange Junior, said if Maweni played a role in her son’s death, she forgives her.
“It’s okay, if she did it, God forgives her. If she says she has a hand on my son’s death, God forgives her and I forgive her. My child is no longer alive. If she did it, her mission has been accomplished because my son is no longer alive. She’s the boss, I bow down, it’s okay. I forgive her,” she said.
