“The situation escalated and became physical. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly strangled and stabbed her,” Mdhluli said, detailing the horrific nature of the crime.

After realizing that the woman had died, the man reportedly tried to conceal the body by burying her in a shallow grave, covering it with stones. Investigators are still working to confirm the identity of the victim.
