South African star Pearl Thusi is set to be in the spotlight for the Comedy Central Roast of Pearl Thusi, scheduled for filming on November 21 at The Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg’s Gold Reef City. Following in the footsteps of previous roastee Minnie Dlamini, Thusi expressed confidence, highlighting her readiness and resilience from years in the entertainment industry.

This follows after the roast of Minnie Dlamini that took place in April 2024. Pearl Thusi is up to face a fierce panel of celebrities and comedians who are ready to roast her. Pearl is also not new to the roasting business. In 2019, she was part of the panelists for the roast of the late Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, making her aware of how gruesome the roasts can get.
“Returning to the roast, this time as the roastee, I’m looking forward to having fun in the hot seat and giving as good as I get. If the roasters think they will get me to squirm, they have another thing coming,” states the media personality.
Only time will tell whether she is truly ready for what the panelists have prepared, or if she is about to get the shock of her life.
The roast will take place on 21 November 2024 at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City, two weeks after the first episode of her reality show, The Real Black Pearl, airs on BET Africa.
Supporters can either buy tickets for the live session on 21 November 2024 or tune into the recording which will air on 8 December 2024 on Comedy Central.
