Jay Israel Accused of Threatening Tebogo Thobejane with Chilling Messages

South Africa-based Zimbabwean cleric Jay Israel is being accused of threatening former Muvhango actress Tebogo Thobejane.

The Alleged Messages

The actress, influencer and podcaster shared screenshots of messages allegedly from the Zimbabwean self-proclaimed prophet telling her he knows she is the person behind the popular South African entertainment blog Salties.

The person then goes on to claim that they have hacked the blog’s Instagram account and are going to make sure that Tebogo pays for what she did.

“I know you are the one who owns that page salties. We hacked the account and we are going to make sure you pay for what you did,” part of the message reads.

In the message, the person believed to be Jay Israel subtly threatens Tebogo Thobojane by mentioning her shooting incident. Tebogo was the victim of a shooting incident in October last year where her vehicle was targeted as she travelled with a friend from Saints Champagne Lounge in Sandton, Johannesburg.

“You never learn, you recently got shot at and you continue to do nonsense. Good luck,” the message concluded.

Tebogo Thobejane Accuses Jay Israel of Sending Death Threats

Taking to her Instagram stories, Tebogo Thobojane shared screenshots of the death threat message allegedly sent by Jay Israel. While it is still unclear how she concluded that Jay Israel is the one behind the chilling messages, the socialite posted a picture of the Zimbabwean cleric with the caption, “Disgusting murder a guy that threatens women.”

Interestingly, screenshots of Tebogo’s Instagram stories were shared by @salty_unmasked on X (formerly Twitter).
