Our #MCM today is Shacky Timburwa, a 32-year-old Zimbabwean entrepreneur who’s been making headlines for his impressive business ventures and achievements. Born on May 9, 1992, in Mutare, Zimbabwe, Shacky grew up in the Dangamvura suburb of Mutare.
Shacky’s educational background is quite impressive. He holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Rhema Bible University, which he attained in 2013. In 2023, he added two more feathers to his cap, earning a PhD in International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Zimbabwe.
Shacky is the founder and CEO of Energy Plus International, a company that specializes in Liquefied Petroleum Gas installations and distribution, as well as solar electric design and installation. He’s also the CEO of Parvaim Gold Holdings, a mining company.
Shacky’s achievements haven’t gone unnoticed. In 2019, he was listed among the 100 Most Influential Young Leaders in Africa by Pan-African Youth Leadership. He was also recognized as one of Zimbabwe’s top 40 Most Influential Leaders of 2020.
In 2021, Shacky was featured on the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list, a prestigious recognition of his contributions to the business world.
Today, Shacky Timburwa is a force to be reckoned with in the business world. His determination, hard work, and innovative spirit have earned him a reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s most successful young entrepreneurs.
