Two Benoni pupils who drowned while at a camp in Centurion to be laid to rest

Two Benoni boys who drowned while at a camp in Centurion will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Fifteen-year-old Siphamandla Peterson and 17-year-old Sibusiso Sibiya were at the Rock Falls Adventure Ranch, taking part in an activity in the Hennops River when they drowned last week.

Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane is expected to be at the burials.

Departmental spokesperson, Steve Mabona: “These are the two Daveyton Skills School learners who drowned during a discipline camp in Tshwane on 15 April 2024. The funeral will be a joint one, which will commence around 8AM in the morning at Rabasotho Community Hall, in Tembisa.”
