Full job description
A well-established accounting firm in Bellville is seeking an Accountant to join their team.
Duties to include the following:
To document financial transactions in the General Ledger system;
Accounts payable (i.e. processing invoices, payments and reconciliation of accounts) e
Accounts receivable (i.e. distribution of statements, following up on outstanding invoices, processing remittances, reconciliations etc.);
Cash flow management function and processing (i.e. bank, petty cash and cash flow forecasts);
Payroll (Processing, reconciliations, etc.);
Manage all tax related matters i.e. VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc;
Preparation of management reports, financial statements and other financial related reports and correspondence;
Resolution of finance related queries;
To maintain financial security by following internal controls;
Maintenance of internal systems and client files (electronic and hard copies);
Stay up to date and comply with latest legislation.
Required skills and requirements:
Accounting qualification
Knowledgeable in International Accounting Practices & Procedures;
Knowledgeable in the budgeting process;
Knowledgeable in management reporting;
Knowledgeable in Internal Controls and Accounting Standards;
Ability to work in cross-cultural settings;
Team player, Motivating, Analytical skills, Communication & Interpersonal skills, Strong Leadership skills;
Knowledge of all MS Office applications;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Deadline-orientated with attention to detail;
Hands-on, proactive approach;
Knowledge of accounting software;
Knowledge of payroll software.
Able to speak and understand Afrikaans
Own transport
