Creditors Seek Eviction Order

According to City Press, Emerging Markets Home Loans has approached the Pretoria High Court, seeking an eviction order for five occupants currently residing in Billiat’s Midrand property.

The occupants, reportedly close relatives of Khama Billiat, have been living in the house since the star’s departure to join Yadah Football Club.

The finance company claims the occupants are unlawfully staying at the premises.

The player has not been paying monthly installments for the house, prompting the finance service provider to put the house on auction in an attempt to recoup a R1.7 million loan,” stated a source from the sheriff’s office, who wished to remain anonymous.

House to be Auctioned

According to the notice of motion filed on May 5, the house is slated for auction in June.

This move comes as a last resort for the financial institution to recover the unpaid loan.
