South Africans Lash Out at Zimbabweans For Analyzing SA 2024 General Elections

South Africans are dragging Zimbabweans for analyzing and sharing their opinions on the just-ended general elections in Mzansi.

SA 2024 General Election Spur Online Debate

On 29 May 2024, South Africans went in their numbers to various polling stations to cast their votes.

As they await the announcement of the results of the general elections, there have been varied discussions on social media platforms about the elections and debate about who is going to be the president.

Zimbabweans also decided to chime in the discussions much to the disapproval of South Africans.

South Africans Criticize Zimbabweans for Analyzing South Africa General Elections

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a social media user only identified as @WaPholala claimed that Zimbabweans are so obsessed with South Africa.

She slammed Zimbabweans opining that they are so invested in South African affairs. She argued that Zimbabweans are analyzing the elections more than they did with their own last year.

“Zimbabweans are so obsessed with SA that they have been analyzing our elections more than theirs. I don’t see people of Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, and Swaziland even bothering themselves with our elections. But this other ones are so obsessed with SA.”

South Africans concurred with her remarks and argued that Zimbabweans want to fit in so badly that they want to include themselves in everything that has to do with South Africa. Mzansi slammed Zimbabweans for discussing about South African elections.

Zimbabweans Defend Their Right to Discuss South African Politics

Meanwhile, Zimbabweans also hit back at South Africans. In their defense, they argued that they have every right to analyze just in the same manner as how they analyze politics and elections in other countries.
