The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in Gauteng has raised concern that what is happening between the African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) regarding the Government of Provincial Unity (GPU) might scare off investors.
The DA has announced that it won’t be part of the Gauteng GPU as it says the offer made by the ANC is unfair and unreasonable.
The party says it will fill the opposition benches in the provincial legislature. Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi is expected to announce the cabinet tonight at 8pm.
IFP Gauteng Chairperson Bonginkosi Dhlamini, “As the IFP, all we are saying, we urge both the ANC and the DA to not close doors to each other because this is very important. More especially for our province, because as you know, this province is an economic hub of not only SADC but the whole of the continent. Therefore, it’s important that we are stable.
