The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) and Ford SA have reached an agreement following a wage dispute.
More than 3,000 workers are set to return to work on Friday, almost two weeks after downing tools over profit-share and performance bonuses.
The Labour Court interdicted the strike, calling it unlawful and unprotected, however, employees refused to return to work, bringing production to a halt.
NUMSA said they agreed that there would be no disciplinary sanction for those who participated in the strike and that Ford SA would pay R20,000 for each worker as a deadlock-breaking mechanism.
