Adidas and Juventus Football Club on Tuesday launched their new home kit for the 2024/25 season, blending the storied club’s iconic black and white stripes with a visionary lunar theme. The innovative design, inspired by the pioneering spirit of space missions to the moon, marks a bold departure in football kit aesthetics, aiming to inspire progression and innovation both on and off the pitch.
Drawing from the celestial landscape, the Juventus home jersey features subtle crater patterns across its traditional vertical stripes, creating a visual homage to the moon’s distinctive surface.
This cosmic interpretation symbolizes Juventus’ commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers, echoing the club’s ethos of continual advancement.
Sam Handy, Senior vice president of Product and Design at Adidas said the concept behind the kit is something a little different this season.
“There can be no better expression of what can be achieved when you are committed to pursuing new frontiers, than space travel. With this in mind, we set out to create a kit that stayed true to the core DNA of Juventus while also pushing the boundaries of technical wear design.”
It is crafted with precision using a 3D engineering method, the jersey’s structured fabric features textured details that mimic the lunar surface, providing both a visual and tactile experience for fans and players alike The design is complemented by a seasonal black and white crew-neck collar and adidas’ signature three stripes running down the shoulders.
“The all-over lunar surface graphic serves to celebrate the endless possibilities that exist when progression and forward-thinking are prioritized – a belief that runs deep through this great club,” Handy said.
