Another fuel price decrease predicted for September

Motorists could get a spring in their step next month, with a fourth consecutive fuel price drop expected in September.

The Automobile Association released its latest mid-month fuel price outlook.

While still an early estimate, the association said fuel prices could drop across the board when the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources meets to adjust prices.

A spokesperson for the association Eleanor Mavimbela said, “The current data indicates that ULP95 is set to decrease by around 68 cents/litre and 63c/l for ULP93. Diesel is also set for a decrease of around 52c/l. The unaudited data also indicates a reduction in the cost of illuminating paraffin of around 78c/l.”
