Five people have been killed in a shooting incident in Freedom Park Phase 1 at Rustenburg in the North West. The incident happened last night. The bodies of the four men and a woman were found in the street.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone says the suspects are reported to have fled the scene in a Toyota Quantum and no arrests have been made.
“The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena instructed detectives to leave no stone unturned to ensure the arrest of suspects. According to information available at this stage, four of the victims were declared dead at the scene, while the fifth one, died at Job Shimankane Tabane Hospital.
The motive of the incident is unknown and investigations are under way.” It’s the second mass shooting this weekend in the province.
