Armed Robbers Caught on CCTV Stealing at Pircy Farm: Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a manhunt for six armed suspects involved in a daring robbery at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi.

The robbers, who were armed with machetes and pistols raided Pircy Farm on November 3, 2024.

They entered the premises by cutting through a fence and used an open kitchen door to gain entry to the home, where they proceeded to attack the farm owners.

Police Urge Public to Assist in Investigation

In an official statement posted on the ZRP’s X (formerly Twitter) account, the police confirmed the robbery.  The police appealed to the public for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may assist in the investigations of a case of armed robbery which occurred on 03rd November 2024 at Pircy Farm, Goromonzi,

Six unknown male suspects armed with machetes and pistols gained entry to the farm by cutting the fence in the backyard.” the statement reads.

Authorities encouraged anyone with information to contact the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 70 3631, the ZRP’s WhatsApp on 0712 800 197, or to report at any nearby police station.

CCTV Footage Reveals Identities

The police also shared footages from the farm’s CCTV system which captured the armed robbers faces and clothing of the suspects, providing critical leads for the ongoing investigation.

Commissioner Paul Nyathi, spokesperson for the ZRP, highlighted the importance of this evidence, urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying and apprehending the individuals involved.

Items Stolen and Weapons Recovered

During the robbery, the suspects seized approximately US$3,000 in cash, along with valuables including clothes, two speakers, three cell phones, laptops, jewelry, and groceries.

They also stole three firearms—two shotguns and a pellet gun—that were later recovered in the backyard of the farm, abandoned by the perpetrators.
