The case against a 70-year-old man implicated in the attempted murder of a 6-year-old boy and his mother in Lutzville has been postponed to Friday for further evidence in his bail application.
Seventy-year-old Christoffel Stoman made his second appearance in the Vredendal Magistrates Court on Monday.
He allegedly drove into little Khwezi and Magdalene Jantjies in the West Coast town two Fridays ago after apparently accusing the child of stealing an orange.
The boy’s legs were fractured and he’s recovering at a Vredendal hospital, following an operation at Paarl Hospital last week.
