In a sombre turn of events, four people are feared dead after a building collapsed in Harare’s central business district (CBD).

The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday when the building crumbled in Harare’s CBD at Corner Chinhoyi Street and Bank Street close to Chicken Slice.

While an official statement from law enforcement is yet to be released, there are concerns that four individuals may have tragically perished under the rubble.

The cause of the collapse is still unknown, as authorities have yet to release an official statement. However, some speculate that the heavy rains may have played a role in the incident. The identities of the victims and the extent of the property damage also remain undisclosed.

Images depicting the aftermath of the building collapse were shared on Facebook by popular personality King Solomon Zim. The images depict a chaotic scene, with debris scattered across the road and bystanders attempting to assist any potential survivors trapped in the wreckage.
