Caps United Confirms Death of Assistant Coach Nelson Matongorere

In a post on Facebook, Caps United Football Club confirmed Nelson Matongorere’s death as they paid tribute to him.

“Rest Easy Mr Nelson Matongorere

You fought a great fight, our football and club story is incomplete without you

A dark cloud has fallen us.

Promoted to Glory.”

Besides being a CAPS United assistant coach and a former ZIFA Technical Director, he also reportedly once coached the national Under-17, U-20 and U-23 squads.
