CCC Politician Murisi Zwizwai Dies Weeks After Being Nominated By Tshabangu
In a tragic development, veteran opposition politician and former Harare Central Member of Parliament Murisi Zwizwai has died.

Zwizwai’s Checkered Political Legacy
At the time of his death, Zwizwai was one of five candidates nominated to fill vacancies in the Zimbabwean Senate. These vacancies arose after the recall of five Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) senators by Sengezo Tshabangu, who claims to be the interim secretary-general of the CCC party.

Confirmation of Zwizwai’s Death
While details surrounding his death remain scarce, the sad news was confirmed by renowned journalist Hopewell Chin’ono. Taking to his verified X (formerly Twitter), Chin’ono shared,
“Zimbabwean opposition politician and former Harare Central MP, Murisi Zwizwai has died.”
