H-Metro reported that Madzibaba Ekedi Mawodzwa and his spiritual gang connived to murder 11 of his relatives so he could get more powerful at his shrine. One of his victims is a nephew, who was reportedly cut to pieces during his callous murder.

The publication heard that the group ambushed Madzibaba’s nephew and tied him at his shrine in Kuwadzana. They went on to dismember him. Allegedly, Madzibaba Ekedi severed part of the nephew’s buttocks, collected his blood in a bottle, and then used it to conduct rituals.

Following his brutal murder, the nephew’s spirit is now returning and speaking. It spoke through one of the Mawodzwa family members and revealed everything the church leader did.

The troubled family visited one Madzibaba Cloud Chifamba, who could only help them in the presence of a chief. The Mawodzwa family then consulted a traditional healer. When he conducted the cleansing ceremony, the sangoma referred the matter to Chief Makope’s traditional court in Zambara Village, Chiweshe.

It was at the traditional court where a lot of the gory details of the murder emerged.

The late nephew’s spirit now wants Madzibaba Ekedi and his lieutenants to bring back his blood, which the church leader spilt when they ruthlessly took out his life.

Chief Makope heard that the dead nephew’s spirit said:

“My spirit is not at rest. I want my blood back. He tied me and forced me to drink some juju from a bottle.”

Madzibaba Ekedi refutes everything the avenging spirit is saying:

“I did not kill him, but rather, I was helping him to get better because he was sick.”

After hearing the case, Chief Makope ruled that it was too thick and soul;d be handled by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) since it involves murders. Madzibaba Ekedi and his gang have since fled, H-Metro reports.
