Deceptive Tactics Uncovered: Teacher’s Scheme to Cheat ZIMSEC Exams Exposed

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on October 16, 2023, two students, Shellington Brown and Mirriam Maposa, appeared for a ZIMSEC Mathematics examination at Commercial College.

Unbeknownst to the examiners, the duo had clandestinely arranged with Mugadhuwi to write the examination on their behalf. Despite their collusion, both candidates participated in the exam under the guise of legitimacy.

Upon completion of the exam, Mugadhuwi executed his plan by smuggling answer sheets he had prepared for Shellington Brown and Mirriam Maposa.

In a brazen act of deception, he replaced their original answer sheets with his prepared ones, all to secure favorable outcomes for the students.

For his illicit services, Mugadhuwi received a sum of US$380 from Shellington Brown and US$300 from Mirriam Maposa.

However, the scheme unraveled when ZIMSEC released the exam results in January 2024. To their dismay, Shellington Brown and Mirriam Maposa discovered that their results were withheld due to the discovered irregularities.
