A bogus travel agent found herself in trouble after selling her clients fake dreams which ended up in her committing fraud and getting arrested.

Young Woman Faces Charges for Pretending To Be Travel Agent
A 25-year-old woman from Harare is facing legal action after allegedly impersonating a travel agent, which led to defrauding a client of €500 with false promises of obtaining a visa and work permit for the Czech Republic.
Incident That Led To The Fraud
The alleged victim, Leonne Mhonda, also 25 years old, is the complainant in this case. She had dreams of moving to go and work in the Czech Republic, looking for greener pastures.
According to court reports, on April 24, 2024, Leonne Mhonda visited Huruva’s office, located in central Harare. Mhonda believed that Huruva was a legitimate travel agent capable of securing her a work permit, accommodation, contract letter, and visa for the Czech Republic.
Huruva reportedly charged Mhonda €550 for these services, which Mhonda paid in full.

Allegations, Police Report and Arrest
It is alleged that after receiving the payment, Huruva became unresponsive and failed to deliver the promised services. She was dodging Mhonda and avoiding her calls for updates on her process. This led Mhonda to suspect that she had been deceived. Consequently, Mhonda filed a police report, leading to Huruva’s arrest and subsequent court appearance.
