MDC leader Douglas Mwonzora took to social media to address allegations that he had lost $2450 to a thigh vendor after a hot night.
A news channel called Zimbabwe News Channel shared that the MDC leader was robbed by a lady of the night he had hired. The report alleged that the unidentified woman stole two cell phones and cash from Mwonzora.
The allegations were that Mwonzora had hired the woman’s services and booked her into a lodge. While at the lodge, the woman allegedly stole the two phones and some cash. She was said to have disappeared after drugging Mwonzora to sleep.
The news channel went on to state that security guards at the lodge shared this information with their reporters.

In a post on X, Mwonzora rubbished the rumours calling them falsehoods spread to distract people from important issues.
