Drake Responds to Kendrick Lamar with Scathing Diss Track “Family Matters”

Drake’s confirmation came in the form of a seven-minute track that combines three songs, serving as a scathing response to Kendrick Lamar. Titled “Family Matters,” the diss track was released on YouTube approximately 14 hours after Kendrick Lamar dropped his diss track, “6:16 in LA.” In his lyrics, Drake not only addresses Kendrick but also aims for his alleged troubled relationship with his fiancée, Whitney Alford, accusing him of infidelity.

“Your baby mama captions always screamin, ‘Save me’/ You did her dirty all her life, you tryna make peace/ I heard that one of them little kids might be Dave Free/ Don’t make it dave freeze/ Cause if your GM is your BM secret BD,” Drake raps.

Drake Confirms Authenticity of Leaked Video in Kendrick Diss “Family Matters”

One line in the 7-minute track stands out. Drake acknowledges Kendrick Lamar’s previous assertion that there is no “Big 3” in the rap game, cleverly referencing his leaked explicit video from February this year in a double entendre. He raps,

“You right about f*ck the Big 3, it’s only Big D and there’s video proof,” Drake cheekily raps.

Kendrick Lamar Fires Back in Personal Attack

Kendrick Lamar didn’t hesitate to respond, releasing his response titled “Meet the Grahams.” In this track, each verse directly addresses Drake’s family members, including his son Adonis, mother Sandra, father Dennis, and even a daughter that Drake has never publicly acknowledged.

This ongoing rap feud has captivated those following the beef closely. It all began when Lamar fired shots at Drake and J. Cole on his track “Like That,” responding to their words on “First Person Shooter.” Since then, the feud has escalated rapidly, involving other artists such as Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, and Future.
