Eskom blames illegal connections for load reduction

Eskom CEO Dan Marokane says South Africa will have a brighter summer ahead.

But not everyone will have it the same.

South Africa has been without load-shedding for five months now, but load reduction will continue in some areas.

Eskom contends that 94 percent of the country’s overloaded transformers are as a result of theft and illegal connections.
