Fans Divided as Baba Harare Announces Stage Name Change Following Switch to Gospel Music

Zimbabwean musician Baba Harare has set social media abuzz after announcing his decision to change his iconic signature stage name.

Baba Harare who recently dumped Jiti music for gospel music has also resorted to changing his stage name.

Baba Harare Announces Name Change After Genre Shift

Taking to Facebook, Baba Harare he shared a poster announcing that he is going to be dropping his new EP and revealing his new name on the 5th of October.

His new Ep is called “My Testimony.”

Baba Harare’s decision to change his stage name has sparked a flurry of mixed reactions on social media. A number of his fans and followers who are still coming to terms with his decision to dump Jiti music were disappointed to hear that he is nowchanging his stage. Netizens argued that he does not have to change his stage name stating that it is part of his brand.

Yes we understand baba harare has resonated with Jiti… but you building a new brand requires Baba harare because baba harare brand will convert people to the new brand you are selling. It will take more time to build traction with the new name.
