Former CAPS United Defender Hardlife Zvirekwi’s Wife Has Died

How hard can life get? Former CAPS United and Zimbabwe Warriors defender Hardlife Zvirekwi’s wife has died.

Zvirekwi’s partner, Sarudzai, reportedly died earlier today. Her cause of death is yet to be revealed to the public. Football publication Soccer24 Zimbabwe broke the news.

Hardlife Zvirekwi’s Wife Has Died

The administrators of a prominent Zimbabwe Warriors Facebook group also shared the tragic update:

“We are deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of the wife of Hardlife Zvirekwi, the former Warriors and Caps United right back. The circumstances surrounding her death are not yet clear, but what is certain is that Hardlife and his family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

“We remember Hardlife’s tireless efforts on the pitch, and now we stand with him in his moment of need. May he find comfort in the knowledge that he is not alone, and may the family find strength in the days ahead.”

Sarudzai has been an integral part of Zvirekwi’s life. In 2016, she was with him on stage and even shared a passionate kiss when he was crowned the 2016 Soccer Star of the Year.

She also became a pillar of the exceptional defender following an accident that cost him his arm in 2018, a few weeks before the start of the new local football season.
