The recently launched 2025 online admission portal for grades 1 and 8 in Gauteng has seen over 500,000 applications over the past six days.
Last week’s launch at the Diepsloot Youth Centre saw no issues and within the first 30 minutes, at least 3,000 parents had applied.
Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona called on parents to verify if they have successfully completed the application process.
“We have identified over 12,000 parents who have not completed the full process, So that is worrisome because later in the year we will be experiencing challenges whereby parents indicate that they have applied and they cannot be assisted at that time.”
