Ginimbi’s Mansion in Legal Battle: Sister Summoned to Chief’s Court Over Unpaid Land Fees

Three years after the tragic accident that claimed his life and the lives of Moana and two others, beloved flamboyant socialite and businessman Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure continues to hog headlines.

This time, the late beloved socialite and businessman Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure’s mansion is under threat again following a report that his sister and heir Nelia Kadungure was recently dragged to a Chief’s Court over the land it was built on.

Nelia Kadungure was recently dragged to a Chief’s Court over payments for the land her late brother Ginimbi built his luxurious mansion.

Ginimbi is said to have bought the land for US$13,000 but had not finished paying the amount by the time of his death on 8 November 2020. The original owners of the land on which Ginimbi built his mansion now claim that the late businessman paid US$4,000 only.

Dadirai Nhau, the daughter of the man who sold the land to Ginimbi, told Chief Chinhamora she was present when the deal was finalized with her father, Shanda Kibiti Matope. She says Nelia has been ignoring their requests for the outstanding payment, as Matope is now unwell.

Nelia failed to appear in court due to health issues, leading to the matter being postponed. The owners claim they have lost the documentary evidence of the purchase, but assert that the village head, Sabhuku Kadyausavi, witnessed the original transaction.
