Maud Chifamba, a determined alumna, has embarked on a heartfelt mission to renovate Chiurai School in Gokwe, Zimbabwe, where she studied 21 years ago. The school, built in 1970 during the war, currently serves 370 students but faces dire infrastructure challenges. One block has been condemned, highlighting the urgent need for repairs.
Inspired by her own experiences, Maud aims to provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for the current students. The community has already made significant strides, constructing a new two-classroom block and raising $3,000 to install trusses. However, an additional $3,000 is required to complete the project with essential roofing sheets.
To bridge this financial gap, Maud has launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe. She invites well-wishers to support this noble endeavor, ensuring Chiurai School’s students receive the quality education they deserve.
