Heartbreak and Reimbursement: Guruve Man Refunded Lobola Money After Wife Elopes with Close Relative

Shocking Betrayal: Guruve Man Refunded Lobola Money After Wife Elopes with Close Relative

In a shocking turn of events, a 23-year-old man from Guruve finds himself embroiled in a tumultuous saga of betrayal and deceit.

King Gumbura’s world is shattered when he discovered that his wife, Memory Makomo, had eloped with a close relative and was already pregnant before their intimate relationship began.

King Gumbura was refunded his lobola money after his wife eloped with a close relative.

Blood Tests Expose the Truth: The Shocking Revelation

Memory’s pregnancy came to light after King Gumbira decided to take his wife for blood tests soon after paying the lobola, only to find out that she was already carrying a child. To add to his grief, he learned that the person responsible for the pregnancy was none other than his wife’s uncle, Jaifi Kafarawo, who is in his 30s.

Uncle’s Role and Family Turmoil: The Troubled Saga of Memory Makomo

In the aftermath of the revelation, Kafarawo reportedly abandoned his own family and went to Mt Darwin with Memory

The incident has left Gumbira devastated and questioning the trust he had placed in his now-estranged wife. Speaking to H-Metro, Gumbira expressed his anguish, stating that his in-laws decided to refund a portion of the lobola as a gesture of acknowledgment and remorse after Memory confessed to her adulterous relationship with her uncle.

“I am yet to recover from the pain that I suffered. If I had bedded her before paying lobola, I could have been given a pregnant wife. She never disclosed to me that she was dating another man besides disclosing that she was once raped by one of her sister’s husbands,” Gumbira shared.

He revealed that Memory vanished from her marital home soon after the lobola was paid, and under the cover of darkness, she eloped with her uncle to Mt Darwin. However, their whereabouts were uncovered, and Memory was eventually forced to return home.

Partial Lobola Refund: Insufficient Reparation for Gumbira’s Emotional Struggles

The revelation of the true father of Memory’s unborn child prompted her family to partially refund Gumbira’s lobola payment. However, Gumbira feels that the refund does little to alleviate the pain, wasted time, and shattered trust he experienced.

Refunding of lobola is not enough considering the pain I suffered, the time I wasted as well as the trust I had given to Memory,” Gumbira lamented.
