In a surprising turn of events, journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has challenged Zimdancehall chanter Seh Calaz to a freestyle lyrics competition.
This lyrics battle comes after Hopewell Chin’ono and Seh Calaz engaged in a war of words over Winky D yesterday.
Social Media Spat: Hopewell Chin’ono Declares Winky D as the Dancehall King, Seh Calaz Disagrees
The drama started after Hopewell Chin’ono declared that multi-award-winning Zimdancehall musician Winky D is the real dancehall king.
However, Seh Calaz disagreed with Hopewell’s remarks, he accused him of using Winky D’s name for his political agenda. The two went back and forth as they lambasted each other on social media
It seems the debacle between Hopewell Chin’ono and Seh Calaz is far from over as Hopewell has challenged the chanter to lyric battle and wants set to settle their score lyrically.

Hopewell Chin’ono Challenges Seh Calaz to a Freestyle Lyrics Competition
Taking to his Facebook, Hopewell Chin’ono recorded a video of himself challenging Seh Calaz to a freestyle lyrics competition.
Captioning the video, Hopewell Chin’ono said that he is ready for the lyrics challenge any day and anywhere. He called on Seh Calaz to bring it on if he claims to be the king of dancehall ;
“Listen Seh Calaz, I challenge you to a free style lyrics competition any day, anywhere!
If you are the King as you claim, bring it com, mi ready fi you rudebwoy!
You chatty-chatty too much, agree so that they see a journalist bury a supposed King with nothing but lyrics!”
Seeking Resolution: Hopewell Chin’ono Aims to Settle the Score Lyrically
In another post Hopewell Chin’ono appealed to his followers not insult anyone they disagree with. He revealed that is why he wants to have a freestyle lyric competition with Seh Calaz so that there are no insults or abuse.
Hopewell who is eager and already geared for the lyric battle stated he wants to argue with Seh Calaz lyrically.
“To my dear followers, please don’t insult or disrespect people we disagree with, maturity means arguing and disagreeing respectfully.
That is why I want to argue lyrically with Tawanda, no insults or abuse, we will bury him lyrically
