Economic Freedom Fighters (EEF) leader Julius Malema honoured his party’s Students Command at the University of Pretoria (UP) for their bravery in fighting racism. Malema delivered a public lecture at UP yesterday.
He said he is proud of the achievements of the party’s student wing and for their undying fighting spirit to against inequalities. Malema lambasted the university, saying other languages should be accommodated including African languages.
He also said the higher learning institution should be renamed. Malema encouraged students to study hard so that they can achieve their dreams.
EFF Student Command President, Sihle Lonzi says, “We’ve recognised the University of Pretoria as the headquarters of racism, as a very anti-EFF campus. So we said, there are no go areas for the EFF in South Africa. So we said, by fire, by force, we’re going to bring our president to come and speak to his students, because the message of economic freedom in our lifetime resonates with all young people in South Africa, across class, across race, across gender.
