Five learners have lost their lives in a crash involving a crash involving a train and a scholar transport bus in Middleburg, Mpumalanga. Paramedics are on the scene and the number of fatalities is expected to rise.
Mmusi Moeti – Mpumalanga Spokesperson for the Department of Community, Safety Security and Liaison says besides the fatalities, scores of others have been injured.
Moeti says paramedics and other personnel are busy combing through the wreckage to rescue survivors.
