Meet Zimbabwe’s new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade who was appointed yesterday, Sheillah Chikomo. She is one of the youthful ministers in the current Cabinet
Sheillah Chikomo is a Zanu PF legislator for Mwenezi East Constituency, having been elected into the National Assembly in the 2023 general elections. She is serving her first term in Parliament.
Honourable Chikomo who is nicknamed Sheyz, was born on the 18th of September 1990 in Triangle, and attended Gokomere CPS and Berejena School for her primary education before enrolling at Serima High School for her advanced level education.
In terms of tertiary education, Honourable Sheillah Chikomo holds a Bachelor of Social Science & Politics (Monash University), Bachelor of Business Science & Economics ( Monash Malaysia), Masters of International Business (MIB) (Monash SA), Post graduate Diploma Corporate Governance – Laureate and a Doctor of Philosophy (Wits University).
Her interests include Politics, Justice, Foreign Affairs, Mining, Education, Economics & Trade. In terms of political history, Honourable Chikomo has been the District Secretary for Trans Youth League.
She is serving in such Portfolio Committees as Foreign Affairs, and Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training.
