More Details Emerge On Chitungwiza School Children Caught at Lodge

Fresh details have emerged surrounding the scandal involving six school children who were caught at a Chitungwiza lodge in a compromising position.

The group, consisting of three girls from Excel College and three boys from Pathway College, allegedly planned a day away from school to engage in lula lula.

The Man Who Exposed The Students

H-Metro reported that the whistleblower, a taxi driver and former head boy at one of the schools played a critical role in bringing the situation to light. After dropping the students off at the Royal Guest Lodge, he quickly notified his former school about their intentions. The school then notified the police, who raided the children.

The cops also arrested lodge employee Christabel Muchemwa, 36, for allowing underage students to book rooms.

Investigations revealed that two of the girls met their partners for the first time that day. One of the boys, aged 19, remains in police custody to assist with ongoing investigations, while the girls underwent medical examinations before being released into their parents’ custody. Disturbingly, reports indicate that one girl may have engaged in lula lula with her partner.

The principal of one of the colleges issued a recorded statement to H-Metro addressing the situation:

They (parents) are heartbroken, but it has to be reiterated that it’s neither their fault nor ours that this happened. The children did not escape from the college premises, so they were not in our jurisdiction. They actually left their homes purporting to be attending school, which in our case begins at 7:30 am.

“Unbeknown to us all, they had other plans, and we were to later learn the whole episode had been orchestrated by a 19-year-old Pathway College scholar, in cahoots with two other compatriots who attend the same school. Naturally, this trio becomes the accused because they paid the lodge fees,”

He expressed relief that the school acted promptly upon learning of the situation:

“We understood we had no right to budge into the lodge to extract our children.”

In response to the incident, parents are expected to attend trauma-healing counselling sessions to address the emotional fallout. Additionally, there are plans for a public campaign to discourage lodges from accommodating underage clients.
