Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the iconic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and inaugurated a new Chancery of the Indian High Commission in Brunei on Tuesday.
The Indian leader is expected to hold bilateral discussions with Brunei’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on Wednesday.
Modi’s trip marks the first ever bilateral visit by an Indian prime minister to Brunei.
The visit coincides with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between both countries. Modi will thereafter visit Singapore on September 04.
