Nelson Chamisa Speaks On Meeting ZANU PF Spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa

Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa has spoken on his interaction with ZANU PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa yesterday.

Smiles And Hugs At King Charles III’s Birthday Party In Harare

Chamisa and Mutsvangwa were guests at the birthday party of British monarch King Charles III. The King turned 75 today.

As per tradition, the United Kingdom’s embassies and high commissions all over the world hold parties to celebrate the birthday.

At the event in Harare were Nelson Chamisa, Chris Mutsvangwa, Fadzayi Mahere, and Mayor Jacob Mafume, among others. The former CCC President walked to where Mutsvangwa was and shook his hand before softly hugging him. They even had a little chat, with Chamisa also making reference to the Wicknell Chivayo drama.

Afterwards, the two rival politicians posed for pictures. Chamisa also got to meet Mayor Mafume. Some believe the Mayor is now in cahoots with self-appointed CCC Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu, whose unilateral parliamentary recalls forced Chamisa to quit the party.

The interaction between the political rivals created a buzz online. Some commended them for being mature and setting differences aside. Others laughed at how CCC and ZANU PF supporters beat each other when their leaders wine and dine together.

Chamisa tweeted about his night at King Charles III’s birthday party:

“MINGLING AND MIXING…It was really refreshing to interact with the invited guests and Zimbabweans from diverse walks of life at an event hosted by the @UKinZimbabwe. We must unite to build a stronger and better future. We’re #OnePeople. I believe in being civil and respectful in all my interactions. Difference is not hatred. I do not practice politics of hate. Tinosiyira pehukama!.”
