The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has revealed the identity of the taxi driver who was found dead in Harare CBD yesterday.

Police Identify Victim Found Dead in Harare CBD
In a post on X, the police announced that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the victim.
The police identified the victim as Artwell Nyamayaro, a 24-year-old man.
Nyamayaro was brutally murdered in Harare’s CBD at the corner of Simon Vengesai Muzenda Street and Nelson Mandela Street. He was found dead with stab wounds on his right leg at around 6:45 AM.
“Police in Harare are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which Artwell Nyamayaro (24) was found dead with stab wounds on the right leg at corner Simon Vengesai Muzenda Street and Nelson Mandela Street on 19/11/24 at around 0645 hours.”
Bloodstained Mazda Demio with Punctured Tyres Found at Crime Scene
The police revealed that during their investigation, they recovered a Mazda Demio vehicle at the crime scene. They noted that the driver’s seat had bloodstains and two of the vehicle’s tyres were punctured.”
“Police recovered a Mazda Demio vehicle, registration number AFS 3528, at the scene. The driver’s seat was blood stained and the vehicle had two punctured tyres.’
Authorities Appeal for Information on Ongoing Murder Investigation
The police have urged anyone with information regarding the murder case to report it to the nearest police station

Unconfirmed Reports Suggest Murder Victim Was Working as an Indrive Driver
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Artwell Nyamayaro was an Indrive driver who was working at the time of his death. It is alleged that he unknowingly picked up criminals who later murdered him.
