Offset has left his fans and followers disappointed as he will no longer be performing at this year’s Hot 97 Summer Jam in New York. The music festival, which is set to take place on June 2 at Elmont’s UBS Arena, added several new acts to the bill on Monday (May 6).
Per the updated roster, French Montana, Fivio Foreign, Ty Dolla $ign, and many more will take the stage at the event next month. Additionally, the recently departed Mister Cee‘s contributions to the culture will be celebrated by Big Daddy Kane.
Unfortunately, the Migos rapper’s name has been omitted from the new lineup — as of now, no reason has been provided for it.
“@offsetyrn not in the line up no more lol I’m not going no more tf,” one person wrote on Instagram, while another added: “I’m coming for offset why he ain’t there.”
A third social media user seemed to have not even noticed that his name was missing as she replied: “@offsetyrn I know you gonna bring wifey out @iamcardib.”
In addition to Offset, Doja Cat and Sexyy Red were announced as the festival’s headliners earlier this year.
The famed radio station announced via Instagram in mid-March, revealing only a few other names from the card such as Method Man & Redman, Davido, and Tee Grizzley.
Despite the abundance of rap royalty, some fans were left unimpressed by Doja’s inclusion on the flyer, with one social-media user commenting: “Doja Cat? This the same summer jam that said Nicki Minaj was too pop years ago [eight crying laughter emojis].”
“Doja Cat? I wanna see more NYC artists this makes no sense guys,” another person wrote, though a third took a more empathetic tone with: “Love Doja but I’m curious how the Summer Jam crowd is going to embrace her.”
Tickets for the Blockbuster annual gathering are now on sale and can be purchased here.
